Abstract

MICE "Convention tourism" refers to visits or trips related to convention or conference activities. A convention or conference is an event held to gather people from various backgrounds who share common interests or goals to discuss, share information, and learn about specific topics. Convention tourism is a type of tourism that involves participants in engaging events that attract both local and international tourists. The growing development of convention tourism significantly contributes to the economic growth of a region. Yogyakarta, as one of the provinces in Indonesia with substantial potential in convention tourism, can be observed from various factors such as cultural and economic aspects, which support the convention tourism sector to have promising progress in the future.
